matcha ashtray

I love that there is always a story behind each piece I make because they are all uniquely built. The blue grey on these two was supposed to be sage grey but I may label it wrong, read it wrong,… but they are still cute.

I used to see life as black and white but since I am more in the present, I see more colors now and everything seem to be a spectrum. Green is just blue and yellow, sage is a mix of green and grey and grey is black and white. They are all connected just like the rest of us,…

as usual, these two were made with white clay mixed with <10% of mason stains for the colors. The interior of the ashtray was glazed in clear finish gloss for easy cleaning and the exterior was left unglazed giving a nice smooth texture to touch. No glaze is being used on the planter; this allows the planter to absorb the excess water when needed. I love for you to feel the textures of the clay and get connected with the Earth and your surroundings.
