I love the clay and love building with different clay bodies because to me, clay is basically the Earth. I trust that thru clay, we can bring the grounding and calming energy of the Earth to our space. In this series, I pushed the limit and worked with 5 different clay bodies; but diversity doesn’t stop at colors! I also experimented with different shapes, textures, functions, and ways of building/trimming/carving things.
This series includes:
• balancing ashtray
• red rock amphitheater inspired ashtray
• medium layered cup
• tall lined cup
as usual, the interior was glazed in clear gloss and exterior was sanded and left unglazed for you to feel different textures of the earth from the same piece
