diversity pt. i - check inspired cup, ashtray and planter

I love the clay and love building with different clay bodies because to me, the clay is basically the Earth. I trust that thru clay, we can bring the grounding and calming energy of the Earth to our space. This series, I pushed the limit and worked with 5 different clay bodies; from which I created 10 variant of colors. Each ball of clay manifested differently in term of color, texture, shape, direction,... etc. Each is unique in its own way but they are all a part of the whole.

This series was inspired by the diversity that we have here in NYC and my longing for an everything in between community, where everyone has the freedom to be themselves and gives space for others to do the same

It’s possible when we stop seeing things just black and white
when we learn not to take things personally
& when we accept people where they are, instead of trying to change others to our perspective
