desert series - cactus incense holders and half and half cat planter

Made with nothing but clay, this series was inspired by the time when I was in California and had the chance to visit the desert and learn about and grow some cactus. 

The cactus incense holders were inspired by the blue torch cactus that I am a huge fan of. These two can be used to hold incense, crystals and/or palo santo. 

The half and half cat planter is a signature design which came from the philosophy of yin and yang. There is yin within yang and yang within yin, the masculine and feminine energy within the same object/person. The white clay is smooth while the black is groggy, which I think they perfectly represent the ideas of yin and yang. 

As usual, these pieces are not glazed so you can feel different textures of the Earth from the clay

There are some small crcaks at the bottom of the cactus on the white cactus incense holder but they do not affect the functionality.
